2. That when the citizens of this illustrious Russian general, for the sake of all the rights and freedoms of our homeland, as well as the universal and special freedom of each of us, by the prepotency of our fellow citizens, who today concern us, gathered in Cherry, and when, for the reasons mentioned above, they secured the homeland and freedom from all attacks with a close union of confederation (in whose act all the above-mentioned motives are expressed in detail) having joined together, they chose me, Józef Potocki, the crown prince from the union, as the marshal, so I fulfilled the duty imposed on me by all the MPs. citizens of our illustrious general, in whom only the spirit of patriotism, the love of ancient freedom and pleasant freedoms still reside, I call to the above-mentioned union and with brotherly affection I invite, and finally, the present act of confederation in the towns of our illustrious general, Mr. I recommend ingrossing the regents or susceptants, as well as the signatures of JW. IMciów pp. I am obliged to accept the files of senators, officials and all knights. Let no one understand that this is done for the purpose of any privacy or harmful to faith and law. We make God the Most High in our thoughts and hearts the judge of our homeland and the king who reigns happily as witnesses of our actions, but, yes, we feel the yoke of slavery spreading in our kingdom and seeing some of our fellow citizens, forgetting what they owe to our homeland, the pupil of our freedom liberum veto to suppress the thoughtful, cardinal laws, to satisfy our thoughts and desires ad praedominium in a free nation striving abolition and new laws are the only spirit of pre-eminence under the hypocritical veil of public good. Seeing the above-mentioned and other threats looming over our Republic, and seeing no other way to salvage this one, we have become united by this union, which is especially filled with the spirit of citizenship. Whoever acted against such a salutary work and resisted our union would, of course, be considered in our minds as wishing harm to the public good and would be considered among the enemies of the homeland. Let not, esteemed lovers of your country, be deceived by vain speeches and rumors of reluctant minds. We have a civic mind instilled in us by our ancestors for the public good, we have help for this work given by the public declaration of our most noble neighbor, but it has been wrongly and hypocritically withheld from those who use it.
3. So, dear and kind fellow citizens, unite with those who wish our country well. Even though the statute of the Republic is silent, we do not obstruct justice, but we allow decent jurisdictions to exercise their offices in the usual way, leaving to ourselves the power, consideration, tenderness and guardianship to provide justice to citizens. For this reason, to establish courts and elect judges of this confederation inspired solely by the spirit of holy justice. WIMciów pp. I hereby universally invite the senators, officials and all the knights of our illustrious general to come here to Wiśnia on the fourth day of June, who, recommending me to the universal civic hearts, favor and trust of them, Mr. I recommend to the regents or susceptants of the solite to promulgate sub rigoribus in contravenientes solitis, and I sign the same with the usual pressure of my own seal.
