What data we collect
We collect the minimum of information needed for the site to work:
- Technical data — the pages you visit, search queries and UTM parameters for statistics. This is anonymous and not tied to you personally.
- When you sign in with Google — your email and name from your Google profile, to sync favourites across devices.
- Actions on the site — pages you like or save to favourites, under an anonymous key (cookie) or your account.
Cookies
We use three kinds of cookies: technical (session, form protection), preferences (theme, font size, guest likes/favourites, banner consent) and advertising/analytics (Google AdSense and partners may set their own cookies — see Google's policy).
How we use the data
- To show you your favourites and likes and keep your reading settings.
- To improve the site — which books are read, what is searched, where errors occur.
- To show advertising that keeps the project free.
Sharing with third parties
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties beyond what is technically required: Google sign-in and AdSense advertising. Those services process data under their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You can delete cookies in your browser — this resets preferences, theme and guest favourites. If you signed in with Google and want your account and all data removed — write to [email protected].
Security
Sessions are protected, no passwords are stored (Google sign-in only), and data is transmitted over HTTPS.
