4 o they are to hold, prepare and, if necessary, lead them to battle, and this must be strictly observed, as if the poor and the nobility were not oppressed in any way by taking food or by harming others, and therefore the lord's punishment must come. And if something like this happens, the lords and superiors will immediately do justice, and everyone will be subject to their hetman's decree, and if everyone can believe it more easily, they should take all the food they can get. And lest those who breed should be oppressed by the price, they shall pay in the same way whatever food they must for their persons and for their horses, as any thing is in the market of the leading city of a valuable district or land. And if anyone is oppressed or wronged and does not receive just justice, he will be free to seek compensation for his wrongs under the common law. 6. Those who are not here at this time, either in the Crown or in the lands, and have royal or other hereditary leases, will be obliged to submit secundum quantitatem bonorum to the post office. However, without extending them more, we carry one as a military duty, which we should not according to the estimates of the names, but according to our own opinion. 7, We exempt the mayors and burgraves of court and border castles from this expedition, because they will have something to do with themselves, respecting their safety and their duties described by common law. 8. And since we see a great need for the knights to serve our lands, so with the consent of the Krakow Voivodeship, which we do not understand, all other money, both out of love against us and also in accordance with the law that the money of a fourth part is given to the Russian lands for defense, should be distributed by Mr. writer field ') we allow, however, not to the starosts, who should have their servants under the provisions of the Republic of Poland, but to others, carefully ensuring that the troop and posts are established. And these servants are to stay as close as possible to those who are in danger, so that they can always come to them when needed, so food is placed there and, according to the hetman's decree, nowhere is it to be defended. 9. The borders are to be guarded and the hetman's spies are to be carefully guarded, so that the knights and other citizens can receive certain information about the enemy, without causing any trouble to the knights or others without fear of certain news. 10. The inhabitants of the cities must carefully observe the safety of the cities and the municipalities should improve it as necessary. 11. And since the Crown is in great danger of espionage, the starostas are to be very diligent in ensuring that suspected people do not walk around the Crown and know about everyone who is having fun with foreigners, especially Gypsies, who, according to the constitutions we have already adopted, we are calling out of the land. And the lords of the starostas are to announce and order these Gypsies to be caught and punished at the throat, and whoever wants to defend such noble or common estate, poena mille marcarum pecuniae is to be punished, and which peremptorie in officio castrensi everyone can make, half of which officio castrensi and half of parti instiganti cedere he has. 13. We also urgently recommend to Their Lords and Councils, as well as to all the knights, the destruction of our lands and the danger in which we are located, and therefore, that Their Majesty should think of a solid defense for us, by ordering a larger group of people from the party to spend the money from Rava and to contribute to this by conscription. And since the soldier will not be able to show up so soon, we will ask them to send their mails to our countries, which they should try diligently before entering the elections. 13. And we leave the resolution of justice in accordance with the Lviv and Wisła Recession in robore, wanting to have a solid discussion about it at the election de instituendis iudiciis ordinariis, or, if there is no time, then at our local assembly,
