1. We, the knights of the Ruthenian Voivodeship, who, having learned about the universals of the Wisnian sejmik on the third day of the month of June, have arrived here, ours and those of our brothers who could not come here, protest and declare that we do not want to know about this sejmik, first of all because it is contrary to our laws and customs, because Mr. Our deputies, as evidenced by their protest, did not take part in the conscription to us, but allowed it to be defended by Rzpita in the hands of our stewards whom we will choose, as the protest of IMci, Mr. Stanisław Stadnicki, starosta of Zygwulcze, is mentioned, which he made before the king, the senate and the parliamentary circle, and entered it into the town records of Czersk. 3. So, for this second reason, we do not want to know about this assembly that bad advice (as well as many other things) resulted, that is, the Lublin congress, in order to prevent bad advice and their consequences, which lead to the final destruction of our rights and freedoms, was adopted at the previous meeting in Stężyca, to tear us apart and confuse us, and the things that were discovered in Stężyca, just as they were already at the assembly was done, silenced and erased, which is what those who show them in every square and have the most witnesses of their innocence usually wish. 3. Therefore, taking good care of these matters, we once again protest that we do not want to know about this sejmik and that we do not want to consider anyone who would come to it (and not to Lublin) and oppose us there, as an enemy of our rights and freedoms. For even greater certainty and importance, we publish this protestation with our signatures in the town books of Sanok, as the Przemyśl town registers are closed at this time. Most eminent and most gracious gentlemen and brothers. After the recommendation of my slow and always friendly services, in the gracious grace of the WMci m. m. pp. It seemed to me that it was right and very necessary to inform them that the other day, when I was a few miles from my house at their home, at various places, Mr. brothers and neighbors, citizens of the land
') The books themselves testify to the agitation against the king in the Sanok region. Namely, when the king's universal of April 26, 1606 was entered into the book, prohibiting the acceptance and entry of the universals of the rebels in the books, with which they intended to disturb the Parliament and insult the royal authority, the town clerk placed the inscription above the royal universal: Litterae sacrac maiestatis privatim scriptae - and the universals of the rebels were further entered in akia.
