That at the previous Wisnia sejmik ^) Their Lords, some present magno conatu contra mentem of their other Lords present, who without great Assistance arrived, and the plurality vocum of their gathered people (who brought people unknown to them at the previous Wisnież assemblies) were drowned out, they decided before the parliament to enlist private mayors and sub-starostas of towns in universals for simple and timid people, so that they would not fall under the crimes described by common law, to hand them over to two on Sunday before the Sejm they force. Therefore, we, noble people, who have absented ourselves from this assembly propter legalia impedimenta, bring this protest through our born brother, Mr. Mikołaj Dydeóski and Mr. Marcin Skorgiewski, to the town of Sanok. And first of all, we declare ourselves to God, the primary guardian and protector of our freedoms and liberties, we also declare ourselves to our brothers and sisters, the people of knighthood, who will judge our rightness based on our emotions, and finally, we commemorate this posteritatis nostrae to make sure that we want to keep these freedoms which we received from the hands of our holy ancestors, intergerrime et sacrosancle, as far as we can. Moreover, since we have due regard to the authority of the King of the Immaculate Conception, whom the maiestati insult, who appropriate the writing of conscription universals to themselves, which is a competit for the Lord and the head of our Republic, we have the respect and authority of common law, which is to be constituted by no particular sejmik, but by all regni ordines at the sejm, we have their own sacred customs, those of our ancestors and our own, which are governed by their natural sense and do not precede the law in its effects and execution. Because it would be contrary to nature itself that effectus causam suam should precede it. Finally, it is a matter of our free will that no one can do anything without us. And if anyone wanted to praesumere that he could do something for us in this matter, due to our absence at the sejmik, then he was very wrong about it, which, although the force of things may clearly appear, but let it be enough on this one that the people of the contributing party are to fall under the equal burden of both the knightly order and the senatorial circle. And since this resolution of the sejmik of a senator absentem afficere cannot, therefore, neither a nobleman nor any private senator non afTicit, for the reason that it is not de necessitate to present himself at the sejmik, because the sejmik is not supposed to do anything else, elect one member of the Sejm and the matter is to be suppeditare to the Sejm deliberations. The senator has his own tractare rempublicam in the council, but no one from the nobility can go there, he entrusts it to the elected deputies. It would also be absurd if someone wanted to exempt a senator from this duty, under which the nobleman falls, and he would be exempted at the same time, if the nobleman gave a salary according to the resolution of the sejmik, and the senator was not obliged to pay only according to the resolution of the Sejm, and the deterior conditio of the nobleman was that if the senator gave only two salaries, he would give four. Therefore, we declare that since we do not allow it, we will not allow such particular decisions for the above-mentioned reasons, not in vim

we do to glorify J. kr. Those who wished our prosperity for the safety of the entire Republic of Poland, who willingly wished our blood for the health of J. kr. We will carry Mcci and the entirety of our homeland. And when from the Sejm Mr. deputies in constitutions and universal ordinary salaries, not only these two but also bring us more, we will spend them and we will declare our slowness in this, therefore we do not want us to add material to anyone's ambitions. To avenge fornication in Poland, to break the law and custom, which would bring shame before God and before people. We sign a free and unanimous declaration with our own hands.
