he strived for these things *). I would have been glad to have reached an understanding with the WMci about something, but these things were done without respect for the dignity of His Majesty the King. They are spreading great danger to the Polish People's Republic and multiplying damage, taking care to delay these things, as it is known. In order to ensure that they were willing to work towards this goal, it was decided that August 30 would be the next day to gather in Lviv. And understanding that another Ich Mci pp. the starostas according to the king's universals will be willing to do so, I have no doubt that they will also come to their aid to protect the dignity of His Majesty the King. Our Lords will deign to do such great harm and wantonness ^). Given in Dembowiec die 30 Julia anno 1605. Jerzy Mniszek, voivode of Sandomierz.

1. We, the knights and citizens of the Russian lands, gathered at the Wiszno sejmik *) declare that, having held a joint consultation on the proposal of J. the King. These articles were agreed upon and freely requested, and we gave them pp. to our deputies elected from us, whom we asked, that nothing should be passed from us regarding these articles. 2. And since some of their lords, our brothers, have agreed to our opinion, it is necessary that the tributes and the forms, the consensus omnium ordinum accedente, at the sejms held by the inquisition, should be discussed from His Holiness the King. These people who deserved well for the great needs occurring were given dues, seeing that this was provided for by common law, and certain tributes were provided for by the constitutions of the Sejm and the decree of J. the King. The courts and tribunals were concerned, as well as the intentions of the second instance and the articles of the Supreme Court. Mci and all Crown estates are received, we have expressed our support to Mr. to our deputies that these tributes, which are the constitutions and the authority of the Sejm, also be decrees of J. the King. confirmed by the tribunals, they were not discussed or raised in dubium, proving to them that we cannot give our consent to this as it is contrary to the law, so that they, knowing the voivodeships and intentiones nostras, would not allow it.
