stations of other voivodeships were read and shown. But it meant nothing to them, they barely listened to the message and did not want to see the protest. While they waited for a long time for a response, sometimes seeing the day leaning towards evening and having no response from the other group, they concluded three articles among themselves, which, according to yesterday's decision, they were to talk about today. First, regarding justice, they decided that it should be as it was under the first interregnum, because both Henry and Stephen, our kings of blessed memory, acta omnia interregni in perpetuum approved and confirmed, which was discussed in more detail in the coronation consultation of King Stephan auno Domini millesimo quingentesimo septuagesimo sexto. 7. Then they agreed also about the defense that it should be old, described by ancient law and unchanged in any way, as it was and is in the case of our lord kings, and the money from the quarter according to the description of the first constitutions of both Sigismund Augustus and Stephen. Then, as if they were going to the election, they all told each other and made promises with good words to destroy our rights and freedoms, the destruction of which some candidates are setting themselves up for with their practices and bribery, but seeing the law in which it is expressly stated that it is to be free to elect any lord, therefore, guarding the slightest offense against the law, we do not want to lay any blame if someone chooses to do so because of his difficulties. They couldn't go to everyone who has to have it, they rather wanted to see that everyone received commune bonum out of their own will and not out of necessity. And since it was also during the first interregna that we, here in our house, in the province, when we were going to elect candidates whom we had considered to our detriment, we all thought that we should now reject all the candidates who would be the ruin of our freedom and rights. So, seeing before people's eyes the most terrible two, one from the Rakuski house and the other from the Hungarian one, we conclude that these two should be expelled and neither proposed for election. So, having concluded his persuasion on these matters, he sent his envoys with them to the other group, which, however, barely gave the envoys a response and did not say anything conclusively, only to defend themselves they said that we liked the idea, having applied the recruitment retention, but they said that the deputies from the convocation wanted to listen and then we would talk not about the articles proposed, but about the things described in the convocation, adding that where If the voivode and the other circles want to accept the Warsaw Convocation in parte and reject it in parte, then we also do not want to grant it in toto*. Thus having dismissed the messengers, evening came. 8. And behind this group, which was with them, the voivode, they wrote it down in protest, signed it with their own hands, and sealed it with their own seals, so they went away and ordered it to be handed over to the deputies for the city records of the Russian voivodeship*) to the protest group, these words are: 9. Honorable Mr. Russian Voivode, our honorable MPs. and brothers I The example of other voivodeships and lands of the Polish Crown, in which the former in recenti, and the latter in their lands abolished everything unnecessary and to the point of enslaving the law, brings us to many reasons why we cannot grant acts of convocation in the past. So, as we came here not out of the custom of duty, but out of the custom of brotherly love, so when we arrived, we do not want to give in to these things, as we said, for many reasons, but in keeping with the brevity and the place, we came for this time...
