We, Peter, by God's grace, the host, lord and inheritor of the land of Moldavia, will express our love to the merchants of Lviv, as well as to other people from the land of Corona Poland, who need to know it, even to the stallholders, the merchants of our land of Moldavia are sorry, and so are the poor people who regret it. [and] saying with great regret that when they go to fairs in His Majesty's land, they want to use the sword together with Your Majesty. Your gentlemen have treated us well, and the myth was treated according to ancient customs until some recent time. And now they have restored another raytha, which is unlike the people of our land, and they take them without right. And yet, since our God has favored this kingdom of our land, we maintain what we found, and we do not renew or increase anything. And W.M., you who have grace in the land of us and elevation, you have not accepted any of this, and as long as our God will keep His Saint in His grace, then we do not want any of this, said the decider again. And we express the great sorrow for our subjects and the suffering of our subjects that befalls them in the land of His Lord. M., having heard this, let us take pity on them and let us therefore wait for them to weep on the land of His K. M., and let us gather all the merchants of our land and ask them what was the origin of our land and the land lords. Then they told us that there was the first fair in Bothushany, and then the merchants came to the border and decided that there would be a fair in several villages, which is called Liencziesthy *)
y in SzypińczacL ^). And what I wanted to make them cry was a school teacher in Cliochini, what Aleljsaiidro 'j, or Iwon ', did, water [=:woje\voda] passed. And now, remembering the friendship of His K. M. and no harm done to your lords in Myczech, we now decide that there will be a fair in Szypińcze, and there it will benefit our merchants. "Thodj" we tell you what they told you before, and we say that before this time, Mithnichi Kolomyshchi or another, when our merchants passed this way, were from the jedi[head] of the car, although he would have been happy, three groszy, and now the money (this has now been renewed by the gentlemen) - apart from the[g]o now they take ten cents of money from the whole people. Apart from that, the mythnic people of Iwów come and want to take them from each person, just to get the money from our subjects and since then we have organized a fair in Szipińcze. And before that, when there was a fair there, they gave money to the merchants for an ox. And now I have ordered them not to take anything from your people, and not to take anything from anyone who comes to the fair, under a vow (and please know about them that they will be the first to be in the middle of the day and then the same will be the second one) and signed by us. Also, W. M., we will announce that we have expelled the Jews from our land (and I would like you to know what the devil is telling us?) not for the sake of the harvest, but only because of the lament of our merchants, that when the Jews come, our merchant brings the oxen to the border, then the Jews first buy cloth from you and travel alone. to ours, passing by our merchants, and they buy oxen. Therefore, our merchants will remain with the unsold wills. If they saw that the buyers of oxen were not getting them from our merchants on the border, we would let them in the land [our | buyer. But they want our buyer in the land [vol. j. to buy cheaper], and it was left unsold to our merchants. And for the sake of greater [confidence] and faith, we have sealed our Moldavian seal at this time. It happened in Jasiech on the eighth day of January 1579, in the year of God.
