From the copy included in volume VIII. Naruszewicz's portfolio at No. 151, from an original previously kept in the main archives, with one seal on a cord of crimson silk. The copy was given to me by Dr. Fr. Piekosiuski.
') Hodle Pole. it was located where today the villages of Hadle Kańczuckie and Hadle Szklarskie are located near Dubiecko. According to His Exc. K. count Krasicki, curator of the Department of Narology. them. Ossol., a thorough expert in Galician topography, thoroughly familiar with the area covered by the above document, the area marked in the document today includes not only Hadle and both, but also three other settlements, including Tarnawka, where the Tarnawka river flows, mentioned in the document.
As for Bochurje, where the document is dated, I doubted whether it was the present-day village of Bachórz, not far from Hadel and located near the San, or the village of Bachorzec in the same area but closer to Dubiecko. According to Exc. Krasicki's village can only be referred to as Bachorz, for these reasons: the name already shows that Bachórz is older than Bachorec, and what is more important, Bachórz is a Russian village and therefore older, while Bachorzec is Polish and therefore later. In Bachorz there is an ancient Ruthenian Orthodox church, in Buchorec there is only a Polish church and only a dozen or so Ruthenians. From all this it follows that Bachórz is much older than Bachorz, and therefore the above document is dated in Bachorz.
^) In the copy provided to me by Dr. Fr. Piekosińskiego stands: Mr. Marszalkoszost, which is undoubtedly a nonsense. the regulations require instead: Mr. Marszaloh Ssoff. This is the famous marshal of Władysław, priest. Opole Schoff or Szoff usually called.
*) This date cannot be rescheduled due to missing a day, except between December 26 and 31. There is still doubt whether this document comes from 1377 or 1378, as it is written in it. In Ruthenia, the church year began with September, and Ruthenian documents were often dated this way, as we can see from document no. VII. above printed. So it is possible that here, too, in the Russian document edited by a "princely writer" the church date was kept, so that this document falls on the year 1377. Even if the church count was not kept here, the document may still come from 1377, because, as we know, the year usually began at that time with Christmas and not with January 1, and no one has yet showed when we began to count the year regularly and permanently from January 1. There is every probability that this document comes from 1377. Therefore, I am placing it under this year, which, as far as I can see, is not contradicted by the dates contained in it in 1377 on December 22, he is in Krakow. (Piekosiński code. diploma.
