We, Peter, 1) by the grace of God bishop of Krakow and prothonotary of the Holy Roman Church, specially deputed as commissary for the below-written matters by our most holy father and lord in Christ, Lord Boniface IX, by divine providence pope, make known to all whom it concerns, who shall inspect our present letters of the definitive limitation of the dioceses, that since long ago between the reverend fathers in Christ, the lords... the archbishop of Halych, plaintiff on the one part, and... the bishop of Przemyśl, then defendant on the other part, a matter of dispute had arisen concerning and upon the limits and boundaries of the said dioceses, the most holy father and lord in Christ, Urban VI, pope of happy memory, by a certain series of his letters of commission at the instance of lord Bernard, formerly archbishop of Halych, committed the said dioceses of Halych and Przemyśl to be limited to the most reverend father and lord in Christ, lord Demetrius, *) cardinal priest of the title of the Four Holy Crowned Martyrs, which lord cardinal Demetrius, the dioceses not having been limited in this manner, as it pleased God, closed his last day. Finally, the reverend father in Christ, lord Matthias, the second bishop of Przemyśl, desiring during the time of his rule to commend the said dioceses, and signally his own of Przemyśl, to due limitation, humbly procured certain letters of commission for limiting such dioceses from our most holy father and lord in Christ, lord Boniface IX, by heavenly providence pope, aforesaid, sound, safe and whole, to be obtained in our person, and having been obtained and extracted, to be presented to us by his certain proctors having sufficient mandate for this, which we, with the reverence that was fitting, received unimpaired under this tenor:
