From the copy included in volume VIII. Naruszewicz's portfolio at N. 194, copied from the original previously preserved in the main archives, next to which there was a seal hanging on a silk string cannasin and navy blue. I was kindly provided with a copy by Dr. Fr. Piekosiuski. This document was originally printed in the work Supplonenium ad hidorica liussiae monumentu, St. Petersburg 1848, pp. 505-507. Hence it was reprinted by K. łir. Stadnicki, in his work Sons of Gedyniin 11. •J48 and 249, omitted all the names of the witnesses, so his text ends with the words regni autem nostri anno secundo. Variations occurring between the text of our manuscript and Stadnicki's text and the Supplement are given in the notes below. P. Stadnicki says at the beginning of his text (page 248): "A document taken from the Sieniawski family archive." In Snjipl. thigh hist. Russ. Mon. but I only read: "Originale scriptum iu charta membranea. Sigillum aYulsum. Apographum hujus diplomatis relatum est Collegio Archaeographico a correspondente Varsoviensi W. A. Maciejowski." From this I would rather conclude that Maciejowski copied his text from the original of the main archive, from which our copy was also made.
