Also mentioned in Kozak’s “Registers” is L. Avriiiig Khanenko. This was the younger brother of the famous Mikhail Khanenko, Doroshenko’s happy rival in the Trans-Dnipro Hetmanate (on the Sluch River), usually called Hetman Umansky, in contrast to Doronienko, Hetman Chegirinsky, and Mnogohrishny (on the left bank of the Dnipro), Hetman Vaturinsky. After many years of troubles, the Uman Hetman finally appeared in Pereyaslavl, handed over his mace and horsetail to the Hetman Samuy-

I love it. to whom the Trans-Dnipro region, more or less, had already been transferred, he surrendered and received as a reward as a Colonel, in control of the Uman Regiment (March 7, 1674). Having lost some estates received from the Poles in the Dnipro region. he was rewarded for them with new ones, which passed, after his death, leaving no offspring, to his brothers, including Lavrentyo, whose grandson. from his eldest son. Danila, Nikolai Danilovich, later became famous as General Horuzhy (d. 1760). He left behind the so-called...Diariush or Journal, - formerly.. of the Military Chancellery by the Senior Clerk, “published by me in the 1st book of “Readings in the Imperial Society of Russian History and Antiquities - 1858, Dept. Another rival of Doroshenko was Sukhovey, Hetman with the assistance of the Crimean Khan from the Zaporozhye Scribes. I don’t know whether he was recorded at that time as the registered officer of the Kozelsk Hundred of the Pereyaslav Regiment named Ivan Sukhovy, or whether it was his relative. and, perhaps, a namesake. In the same regiment of hundreds of Babich, Vasko Tsyutsyura is registered as registered, probably the father of Timofey Tsyutsyura, who was during the confusion after Bohdan Khmelnitsky. Colonel Pereyaslavsky, who also aspired to become Hetman.

In Torchitsa, the Belotserkovsky regiment is shown as a registered Cossack Lavrin Kochubey. The question arises: is this a relative of the famous Vasily Leontyevich Kochubey, who was martyred with Iskra Mazepa, or just a namesake, the same Tatar native as the grandfather of the General Judge (since 1694)? Under Doroshenko, who surrounded the Polish camp near Podgaitsy with his 104,000-strong army so closely. that I had to think about either surrendering to the enemy. or about starvation, since there was no hope of salvation with weapons, suddenly

galloped to Kozakai vetnyk, Murz to Umet Kochub, with a report to Khan about the invasion of the unarmed Crimea by the fearless Zaporozhye Koshevoy Serk, and demanded the speedy return of the Tatars there, to save their wives, children, etc. / which helped the Poles out of trouble on decent peaceful terms. The name of this Murza, of course, confirms the origin of the current Kochubeys from the Tatar Crimea. However, Andrei Kochuba was named in the Lyutenskaya hundred of the Poltava regiment.

In the Prilutsky regiment of hundreds, Protsenka was listed at that time as a registered Cossack Lazar Gorlenko, who was later Colonel of this regiment and who, along with others, denounced Hetman Samuilovich in Moscow, but was extradited to the latter by the Tsar, imprisoned, etc. His son, Dmitry, also Prilutsky II Colonel, was involved in the Mazepa case, as his son-in-law, he returned later, spent 16 years in Moscow, and only under Anna Ivanovna* was he released to his homeland. Yatsko Gorlenko is named in the same place as Lazar, but I don’t know what he was after.

In the Kyiv regiment, in the Makarovskaya hundred, the registered “Savka Tuptalenko”, who was later the Sotnik in this hundred, is shown: he is the father of St. Demetrius of Rostov.

A contemporary and destroyer of the Kochubeys, as is known, was Hetman Ivan Stepanovich Mazepa. Until now, writers have contradicted his origins, considering some Mazepa to be a Lyakh, others a Kozak, and still others to be one or the other, but with a connotation: “The Lyakh is an endangered one,” “The Kozak is a Kozak. That Mazepa is a Kozatskaya surname on the right Trans-Dnipro, proof of this is, firstly: several Cossacks Mazepa, included already in “Register” of Khmelnitsky, which are: 1) Cherkasy regiment of hundreds of Lazar Petrovich Vasko Mazepa, and then hundreds of Domontovskaya Serl RK/ielovie.
